II. VERIFICATION PROCESS
GIC Vietnam’s verification process is standardized into 05 steps, ensuring objectivity and independence:
1. Reception & Review of Request
- The client provides information via the Verification Registration (GF.21.01).
- GIC evaluates risks, calculates mandays, and signs the contract.
2. Planning & Preliminary Assessment
- GIC establishes a Verification Team and sends a detailed Verification Plan to the client.
- Experts conduct a Preliminary Document Review (GF.21.04) to check data readiness before the on-site assessment.
3. On-site Verification
- Interviews: With the Board of Management and relevant departments.
- Data Tracing: Cross-checking from the ESG Report -> Aggregated Data -> Source Documents.
- Observation: Field inspection of factories and projects.
4. Reporting Results & Correcting Non-conformities
- The Verification Team presents findings and the Verification Report.
- If non-conformities are found, the business implements corrective actions and refines the ESG report. GIC will review the evidence of correction (if necessary).
5. Independent Review & Issuance of Verification Statement
- The verification file is independently reviewed by an expert not involved in the assessment team.
- GIC Vietnam officially issues the Verification Statement to confirm the reliability of the report.
