The list below describes the verification/validation activities currently provided by GIC Vietnam. For each request, GIC Vietnam reviews the subject matter, programme, criteria, scope, competence, resources and impartiality before accepting the engagement.

Verification of Organizational GHG Inventory Reports
Subject matter
A statement or inventory report on GHG emissions and removals of an organization.
Applicable criteria
ISO 14064-1:2018; GHG Protocol – Corporate Standard and/or applicable Vietnamese legal requirements, where selected.
Verification
ISO 14064-3:2019; ISO/IEC 17029:2019; ISO 14065:2020; ISO 14066:2023 and IAF MD 6:2024, where applicable.

Verification of GHG Project Results
Subject matter
A statement on achieved GHG emission reductions or enhanced removals from a project, based on historical data and realized results.
Applicable criteria
ISO 14064-2:2019 and/or the criteria of the applicable GHG programme.
Verification
ISO 14064-3:2019; ISO/IEC 17029:2019; ISO 14065:2020; ISO 14066:2023 and IAF MD 6:2024, where applicable.

Verification of Product Carbon Footprint (CFP)
Subject matter
A report or statement on the carbon footprint of a specified product, service or product group.
Applicable criteria
ISO 14067:2018 and applicable product category rules (PCR) or programme requirements.
Verification
ISO 14064-3:2019; ISO/IEC 17029:2019 and ISO 14065:2020.

Verification of ESG/Sustainability Reports
Subject matter
Reports, indicators, data or statements relating to environmental, social and governance matters.
Applicable criteria
GRI Standards, IWA 48:2024, IFRS S1/S2 and/or other agreed criteria or programme requirements.
Verification
ISO/IEC 17029:2019 and the requirements of the applicable programme.
Application and Update Principles
- The specific criteria and programme are agreed in the contract or service agreement for each engagement.
- GIC Vietnam accepts an activity only when adequate competence and resources are available and impartiality can be ensured.
- The list of activities and accreditation status are updated whenever there are changes to services, programmes or the accredited scope.
